Somalia Minister of Education Abdullahi Abukar Arab closes the five day National Secondary Schools Examination
Somalia’s Education Minister Abdullahi Abukar Hajji Arab accompanied by the Minister of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education Abdirahman Mohamed Abdulle and the Director General of the Ministry of Education Mohamed Abdi Hassan has on Wednesday closed the five day National Secondary School exams.
The National Exams which were being administered across the country except Puntland regional State and Somaliland kicked off on Saturday.
The officials from the Ministry were on an inspection tour on the last day of the exams to ascertain and assess the administration of the National test.
The Director General of the Ministry Mohamed Abdi said that the exam was successfully concluded without hitches stating that the Somali students showed insatiable appetite and urge for Education.
The DG wished the students well as they embark on a new level of life and await the outcome of the exams set to be released in the coming days.
Oh his part, the Minister of Education Abdullahi Abukar Hajji commended the stakeholders who were involved in administration of the Exam and parents and students who have exhibited high level of collaboration in the examination period.
Arab also thanked the security personnel who took part in the exams by providing security to the teachers and students in a bid to ensure the safety of the examiners and the centres of the examinations.
A total of 35,000 students sat for the National Exam including a mother of seven children Saidia Hassan according to a data provided by the ministry of education.
