Somalia Minister of Finance Abdirahman Beileh meets with senior officials from UK.

Somalia’s Minister of Finance held talks on the ongoing economic reforms in the country with officials from the United Kingdom. Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, the finance minister, met with the UK officials at the British Embassy in the National capital Mogadishu on Tuesday, May 24. In a statement posted on his official Twitter handle, the Minister said they discussed Somalia's economic reforms and how to further strengthen the gains made so far. "Today I had a productive meeting with Simon Mustard, Director for #Africa @FCDOGovUK and Philip Parham, the #UK Special Envoy to Red Sea and Horn & @UKinSomalia's Ambassador @KFosterFCDO. We discussed #Somalia's economic reforms & how to further strengthen the gains made so far." Simon Mustard, Philip Parham, and Kate Foster were among the officials who met the finance minister. Mustard is the Director for Africa in the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Organization (FCDO) department of Her Majesty’s government. Parham serves as the UK Special Envoy to the Red Sea. Kate Foster is the UK Ambassador to Somalia. They all outlined and pointed out ways of protecting and strengthening the gains the East African Nation has made in terms of its economic reforms.
