UK Voices Concern Over The Death Sentence Of Four Soldiers

The UK government has strongly opposed the killing of four soldiers by the Somaliland government on Wednesday. Ms. Lizzie Walker, the British High Commissioner to Somaliland, expressed deep concern over the death sentence, saying it was an affront to humanity. "We are deeply concerned about the retaliation in Somaliland, and the UK's position is well known: We oppose the retaliation at all times and in all circumstances," said Lizzie Walker. She added: "The death penalty is inhumane. ” Walker said she would never support Somaliland in such measures, and suggested that it be scrapped altogether. This is not the first time the UK has opposed the Somaliland government's execution, and it is one of the few countries in the West that has been vocal in its opposition to retaliatory executions.
