PM Roble meets with US Ambassador to Somalia Larry André and discussed cooperations

Somali Prime Minister Roble on Saturday held meeting with newly appointed US Ambassador to Somalia Larry Adre in the capital Mogadishu where they discussed strengthening bilateral relations and the ongoing Lower House elections in the country. "The meeting between the Prime Minister and the Ambassador mainly highlighted on “Strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, completion of the elections in time, security, counter-terrorism, and the role of the United States in addressing the widespread drought in the country.”according to a statement from the office of Prime Minister. The meeting between the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble and United States Ambassador to Somalia, Larry Adre comes at a time when the Horn of Africa Nation is encountering a dire drought that continues to ravage in the country. The new US Ambassador to Somalia Larry Adre had on Monday last week submitted his credentials to President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo who assured him of his commitment to supporting his work. This also comes as US announced visa restrictions against Somali officials who are found to have engaged in electoral fraud and harassment of Journalists.
