Somali FM holds Phone Conversation With Turkish Foreign Minister
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdisaid Muse has held a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Friday.
The two ministers discussed ways to further deepen relations between Somalia and Turkey, with a particular focus on strengthening cooperation in the areas of security, economy, trade, and strengthening the Turkish government's support for Somalia's transition plan. Discussed fast-tracking elements of our economic, trade and security cooperation including the critical supporting role of the new AU Transition Mission in Somalia,'' Minister Abdisaid Muse said. ''Further agreed to investigate the circumstances of the deaths of five Somali nationals along the Greek-Turkish border.
On behalf of the Somali people, I also conveyed our delight on the recovery made by H.E President Erdogan and 1st Lady from Omicron,'' he added.
