Senior Somali government officials paid visit to Spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu
A high profile delegation led by Somali Information Minister Osman Abukar Dubbe and accompanied by State Minister for Public Works Gen. Bashir Gooble and other senior government officials on Sunday night paid a visit to Somali government spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim Moalim, who is admitted in a hospital in Istanbul Turkey where he is receiving treatment from injuries he sustained in a suicide car bombing that targeted him in the capital Mogadishu. In a media briefing the two ministers, Mr. Osman Dubbe and Bashir Goobe said Maalimuu said Moalimu is recuperating and responding well to medications and that his condition is stable. They lauded efforts by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble whose office Moalimu is attached to as a special advisor of ensuring that Moalimu receives a high quality medical care and treatment. On a replica visit, the entourage also checked on the health status of Somali National Media director Sharmake Mohamed Warsame who is also admitted in a health facility in Istanbul for injuries he got from a suicide bombing in November 2021 that seriously injured him and killed his colleague Director of Radio Mogadishu Abdirizack Mohamud Guled who was popularly known as Abdiaziz Afrika. Al-Shabab militants group in a statement claimed responsibility for the attack of the two journalists and also took credit for the one of Moalimu in January 14th this year.
