FM discusses relations with Tanzania & Gabon
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdisaid Muse Ali had a phone conversation with his Gabon counterpart, Pacôme Moubelet-Boubeya.
The Foreign Minister Abdisaid said he exchanged views on how to strengthen the cooperation and historic ties between the two countries.
''Spoken today with H.E Pacôme Moubelet-Boubeya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gabon. Also took the opportunity to exchange views on post-2021 Somalia, regional political developments and deepening our historic bilateral relations.'' minister Abdisaid said.
The foreign minister congratulated Gabon for officially assuming their membership at the UN Security Council earlier this month and reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to work constructively with Gabon on issues concerning peace and stability in the Horn of Africa.
Both Ministers also discussed the future of the African Union Mission in Somalia, regional political developments and deepening historic bilateral relations between Somalia and Gabon.
separately the Foreign Affairs Minister also held phone talks with Amb. Liberata Mulamula, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tanzania.
The discussion between the two ministers centred number of issues on mutual interest including the deepening of economic relations and closer cooperation on regional issues.
He underlined Somalia’s desire to strengthen its historic ties with the United Republic of Tanzania.
