Roble Meets With Former President Sheikh Sharif And Former Premier Kheire In Mogadishu
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has met with Somalia’s former President, Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre on Sunday night. In a brief statement, the office of the PM said they discussed the implementation of Sunday’s agreement reached by the National Consultative Council following their week-long meeting in Mogadishu. ''The Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble tonight met with former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire to discuss the implementation of the agreement reached today by the National Consultative Council on the acceleration and completion of elections,'' the office of the PM. The meeting came hours after the Somali prime minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble and leaders of five regional states issued a communique after six days of talks in Mogadishu. The leaders agreed to conclude elections by February 25 to allow the country to elect a new president. They also agreed AMISOM to be responsible for the security of Villa Somalia.
