Al-Shabaab Executes Woman In Central Somalia
Al-Shabaab militants have executed a woman in Shaw town central Somalia. The militant group accused the Anfa Hussein Mohamud of being a member of the HirsShabelle police according to al-Shabaab-affiliated media on Tuesday. Hundreds of people were gathered in Shaw area in Hirshabelle State where the woman was executed. The al-Qaida allied group has lost many areas previously under its control but is still capable of executing people and staging attacks. The Somali military has intensified operations to flush out al-Shabab insurgents from their hideouts in central and southern regions of Somalia in the past weeks, which resulted in the militants losing grounds and suffering heavy casualties.
