PM Roble holds talks with opposition leaders over upcoming elections
Somali Prime Minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble has held a meeting with members of the Council of the presidential candidates in Mogadishu ahead of the elections.
The meeting focused on making the election transparent, transparent and timely. ''PM Roble met with the Council of Presidential Candidates on Monday and discussed the speeding up of the country's elections.
CPCs shared with PM recommendations that could be improved by the NCC's recent election guidelines issued by NCC to move ahead,'' government spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimuu.
Also, the government and the opposition candidates agreed to jointly work on the upcoming presidential elections, according to Moalilimuu.
Moalimimuu added that the premier had shared with the council recommendations on vetting and clarifying some of the provisions of the electoral process issued by the National Consultative Assembly.
The two sides also agreed to hold further meetings to continue talks on the country's ongoing elections.
Roble was also accompanied by members of his cabinet, including the Somali Minister of Education, the Deputy Minister of Information and other officials. .
