Puntland Security Forces on Friday liberated areas that had been under rule of Daesh militants following an operation in the northeastern mountainous Somali region of Bari. In a statement, Puntland security forces said they wounded four Daesh members in the attack while two soldiers sustained two light injuries during the operation. '' Puntland Security Forces along with other security forces today undertook another mission of weakening the enemy,'' statement from Puntland Security Forces read. The security forces are in full control of the area according to the statement. The areas liberated in the operations include Dhabancado, Hul-Anod where the ISIS group was a stronghold. Daesh group is estimated to have up to 300 active fighters. Since its formation, Daesh probably managed to take control of a small, sparsely populated territory in northern Somalia’s mountainous hinterland.
