I Will Not Run For Presidency & I'm Backing No Candidate, PM Roble Says
Somalia's Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has said he is not vying for the highest office in the country in the upcoming presidential elections in the horn of the African nation. Speaking at a public ceremony in Mogadishu's Daynile district the premier announced he has no personal interest and will not be backing any particular aspirant and reiterated that he will hold free and fair elections “I thank the Daynile residents for their warm welcome and hospitality. I would like to make very clear that I won’t be a Presidential candidate in the upcoming Somalia elections,'' adding ''All candidates are same to me and my biggest priority now is to achieve free and transparent election” Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble said. The event, organized by Daynile District Administration, was also attended by members of the Somali Cabinet, members of both Houses of Parliament and Benadir Regional Administration officials. Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble also reaffirmed the government's commitment to lead a transparent, credible and credible electoral process, stressing the importance of uniting the public interest and avoiding shortcomings constructing, to move forward with the holding of elections. Mr. Roble was tasked by incumbent President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo to lead the country's preparation for the parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled to take place in August 2021.
