Bodies Of 4 Drowned Students Found At Lido Beach
The bodies of four boys were found on the beach of Liido, a day after they went missing. Authorities say that the body of one boy has not yet been discovered. The four boys went to Liido beach to pose for a picture for social media and were playing football but Some later recommended swimming on the beach which resulted in some of them swept away by the high tides. The five boys were among 26,688 students who sat for their national exams last week in Benadir region. The boys were celebrating after doing their final secondary school national exams. The boy’s relatives frantically looked for them but to no avail. The parents of the youngsters have accused have the government of not taking resposibility for the safety of hundreds of young Somalis who flocked to swim in Liido beach every day to cool off from the heat of the sun. It is estimated at least 2 people drown every week in Liido beach.
