Somali President condemn Al-Shabaab attack that killed senior police officers

The Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has condemned a suicide attack that killed six people, including two senior police officers and offered their condolences. Farmajo sent his condolences to those affected and wished the injured a quick recovery.  ''President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo sends deepest condolences to the families, relatives and the people of Somalia in general for the deaths of officers and other citizens in last nights bombing in Mogadishu,'' Villa Somalia said in a statement. At least six people, including two senior police officers, were killed and six others injured in a suicide bombing at a police station in Mogadishu’s Waberi district on Sunday night. Al-Qaeda linked group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing. The Al-Qaeda-affiliated group upped assaults on security personnel and civilians over recent weeks as the US military halted air raids.
