Somalia postpones Secondary School Exams

Somalia Ministry of Education has postponed Secondary School Examination by one week. In a statement, the Somali Ministry of Education said the exams will now take place on 29th May. “The Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education of the Federal Government of Somalia would like to share with all the education community, especially the education institutions officials, school principals, students and parents that the high school diploma exam has been delayed by a week,” read part of the statement. According to the ministry, the exams were delayed over recent skirmishes in the capital Mogadishu. “Delays due to increased pressures in recent days, which have affected students, the Ministry recognizes that it is necessary to give students more time to prepare for the exam,” the statement reads in part.
