EX-Kamukunji MP aspirant Ibrahim ‘Johnny’ laid to rest in Nairobi

Ibrahim Ahmed aka Johnny a former Kamukunji parliamentary seat aspirant, was on Friday (today) buried at the Lang’ata Muslim Cemetery in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. The City Politician who was also the deputy secretary-general of Jamia Mosque died at battling kidney problems for years.’ according to family. ''Ibrahim Ahmed ‘Johnny’ was a principled and respected leader. He was enterprising, selfless and gifted with a charming personality. We will miss his touch that uplifted many ordinary households,'' Deputy President Wiliam Ruto said in a tweet. Ibrahim died on Friday morning at Coptic Hospital in Nairobi, where he had been rushed for treatment. Ibrahim unsuccessfully ran for the Kamukunji Parliamentary seat in 2007. He lost the contest to Simon Mbugua.
