Hirshabelle Leader Launches New Fish Market In Warsheikh
HirShabelle State President Ali Gudlawe Hussein on Thursday paid a visit to the coastal town of Warsheikh in the Middle Shabelle region. Gudlawe and a delegation led by him were welcomed by Warsheikh governor Hassan Golof and laid a foundation stone for the construction of a fish market in the HirShabelle town which is only 65 kilometres north of the capital Mogadishu. ''Somalia’s Hirshabelle State President Ali Gudlawe has arrived in today the coastal town of Warsheikh in Middle Shabelle region,'' State media TV said. ''He laid foundation stone a new fish market in the town and visited district’s main hospital,'' Warsheikh has historical sites and beaches which often sees people sees people from Mogadishu visit the district. Warsheikh is one of the coastal towns in Southern Somalia and was one of the top tourist destinations before the civil war.
