President Farmaajo condolences on the death of a parliamentarian

A member of Somalia's current parliament has passed away in Baidoa the interim capital of Southwest State of Somalia on Wednesday morning.

Mohamed Mohamud Boonow died after a short illness according to relatives.

Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has condoled the death of the MP and sent his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and friends over the untimely tragic loss.

''President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo sends deepest condolences to the family, relatives and all the Somali people on the passing of MP Mohamed Mohamud Boonow who passed away in Baidoa,'' the president's office said in a tweet.

The death of the parliamentarian comes as the country's leaders are yet to implement the 17 November agreement by FG and regional state leaders.

Somalia was due to hold parliamentary elections by December 2020 while the presidential poll was to take place in February.
