Former President jets back to Mogadishu
Former Somalia President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed has on Wednesday returned to Mogadishu after spending several months abroad. The welcomed at Aden Adde International Airport by officials from the National Party Forum, parliamentarians and other members, and a welcoming ceremony is underway. Sheikh Sharif was in Nairobi for the past few days, where he met with former Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre, and discussed various issues. Former Somali President Sharif also met with senior members of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi, where he is campaigning for the country's presidency. The former head of state is expected to travel to Jowhar town, the provincial capital of Hirshabelle region in southern Somalia.
