Nelson Mandela's Daughter Dies At 59 In South Africa

Zindzi Mandela, the youngest daughter of South Africa's first black president Nelson Mandela has died aged 59, local media reported Monday.   She was ambassador to Denmark at the time of her death.   "The 59-year-old daughter of former president Nelson Mandela and struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, passed away at a Johannesburg hospital in the early hours of this morning," said public broadcaster SABC.   The department said it was still gathering information on the cause of Mandela's death and expects to release a detailed statement later. State broadcaster SABC reported that the diplomat died early Monday morning at a Johannesburg hospital.   The foundation earlier posted that on the same day in 1969, Nelson Mandela's eldest son, Madiba Thembekile Mandela, died in a car crash. Nelson Mandela died in 2013 at the age of 95.
