Senator Ahmed Abdihafid says recognition of Madobe too little too late

Senator Ahmed Abdihafid who is among the upper house of the Somali parliament has expressed his feelings on the matter of the federal government recognizing Ahmed Madobe as the leader of Jubbaland.
In an interview with Dalsan tv, the senator said he welcomes the move adding the decision was supposed to be taken a long time ago.
"While there was a misunderstanding between the federal government and Jubbaland it was the public who were suffering we welcome the decision by the federal government," Said senator Ahmed.
The federal government recognized Ahmed Islam Madobe yesterday and urging him to gather Jubbaland stakeholders to start reconciliation and talks for two years.
President Farmajo refused to recognize Madobe following hi reelction last year.
