Somalia records 70 new COVID-19 cases, total climbs to 671
Somalia has recorded 70 new cases bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 671 as of May 2.
Health Minister Fowzia Abikar Nur said 67 cases were recorded in Mogadishu while 3 were registered in Somaliland.
The ministers daily report indicated that Somalia has had 31 fatalities in total, with 3 people pronounced dead yesterday.
This comes after Mogadishu Mayor Omar Filish raised concerns over the growing number of burials in the past weeks with the death toll hitting 500.
