HirShabelle President appeals for medical aid to fight coronavirus

Hir­­­-shabelle region president Mohamed Abdi Waare has appealed for medical aid to help combat coronavirus. President Waare spoke as the rate of infection in the country hit 116. He spoke during an interview with BBC Somali  in which he said the state had also imposed night curfew as a precautionary measure. Mr. Ware so confirmed that he had opted for self quarantine  even though he was free of the virus. He called for unity of purpose between the government and the opposition leaders arguing that unnecessary bickering would be a set back in fighting the deadly virus. HirShabelle has been hit by the death of a justice minister who die from the  virus. The ministry of health confirmed 116 covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours
