District Commanders sacked as Government Reigns in on Insecurity
The government has sacked several district commanders as it moved in to arrest the runaway insecurity in the country. In their place, ten new commanders were nominated to handle security in Mogadishu. The move follows an attack by Al-Shabab militants on a ministry of Labor building in which at least 15 people were killed. Early in the day, Prime Minister Khaire held a crisis meeting with top security chiefs, Amisom and international partners.
