Mogadishu Mayor saves family from eviction by powerful cartel seeking to grab home
The Mayor of Mogadishu Abdirahman Omar Osman (Eng. Yarisow has saved a poor family from eviction from their home by an unscrupulous individuals who wanted to take over the property.
Eng. Osman who also serves as the governor of Banadir region welcomed the family in his office also instructed the Administration of Hamarweyne district to tighten the security of the family, adding that they had complained of torture and threats.
The family sought the intervention of Eng Osman after what they described as aggressive and violet attempt to take over their property by moneyed people.
The governor assured the family that they would get adequate protection and that their family home was safe. Eng. Osman also pledged to renovate the house.
Eng. Osman handed over the list of the suspects who have been terrorizing the family members to the to Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D) to investigate the life and property related impacts the family has suffered from and prosecute all those involved in the family’s tribulations.
The Mayor has pointed out that Banadir Region Administration was committed to safeguarding the law and justice for all, while, at the same time, promising to foil all the harmful attempts that aim to harm the property of the citizens.
