3 Killed In Day 4 Of Baidoa Unrests

At least three people are confirmed dead after clashes between protestors and security agents  on Saturday  in the South West State administrative headquarters Baidoa. The deadly protests followed Thursday arrest of regional presidential candidate Mukhtar Robow. Radio Dalsan reporter in Baidoa said at least 200 people were arrested in the protests demanding the release of the former Alshabaab deputy leader. At least 16 people have been killed in the riots since Thursday including a regional MP. The international community issued a statement calling fot dialogue in the wake of the arrest of Mukhtar Robow. Robow who is under detention in NISA headquarters in the capital Mogadishu was arrested after attending a consultative meeting for presidential candidates in Baidoa. He has been accused of reneging agreement with the Federal Government of Somalia designed to prevent weapons supply.
