A Banaadir court on Monday reject to release a Finance Ministry official on bond, Radio Dalsan reports.
Abdihakim Abdi was arrested last week and is facing corruption charges.
Investogators want Abdi to be charged with squandering funds meant for a capacity injection project according to court documents accessed by Radio Dalsan.
He is been held at the Central Prison.
Lawyer Abdikadir Muse representing Abdi had requested his client to be released on a bail citing medical reasons.
