The Somali Civil Society (SOSCENSA) is pointing fingers of accusation at the Federal Government for the high taxation. has is  criticizing the government for the Dini Mohamed Dini has Friday night blamed the government for high taxation, Radio Dalsan reports. Speaking in Mogadishu at a farewell party to former Mayor of Mogadishu Thabit Mohamed , the umbrella organisation chairman Dini said that the government collects revenue without consulting with the taxpayers . “The Ministry of Finance thinks of how to raise tax but doesn’t think about whether it’s raised in a just way. And the people who pay the revenue are not at any time involved in decisions to collect it, to an extent that you say to yourself, it’s the black market for reaching decisions,” said Mr Dini. Dini demanded the government to lower tax on low-income earners. “The Minister is justified to increase tax levied on wealthy business people but has to lower that levied on low-income earners who are struggling with how to raise their children. To say that $ 1.7 will be charged on one gram of gold, according to the reports we received, is very difficult when compared to other countries,” added Dini. Although the Ministry of Finance was anticipating high revenue collection in the last few months, there are raising concerns of small business owners who were complaining of high taxation.
