Ex-Hirshabelle President Osoble To Vie For Mp Seat

Former President of Hirshabelle State Ali Abdullahi Osoble has announced that he will contest for a regional parliamentary seat, Radio Dalsan reports. Osoble is eyeing to be the Member of Parliament for Jowhar which is the administrative capital of Hirshabelle state. The elections are scheduled for Sunday. “I expect it to be fair. I expect one who will work for the interest of the community to hold the post” he added. The seat was left vacant after Abdullahi Mohamed Ali “Sanbaloolshe” was appointed as the Director of NISA. Sanbaloolshe who later was fired as the NISA boss is also among the six contestants among them a woman, who fulfilled the Independent Electoral body’s requirements to vie for the seat. Osoble was impeached by Mps in August 2017 accused of being violating the constitution and abuse of office. Mohamed Abdi Ware replaced Osoble as regional President of Hirshabelle.
