Somalia's Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Dr Maryan Qasim has resigned. Qasim announced  her resignation on Wednesday afternoon. One of the most prominent ministers in the Farmaajo administration Qasim cited "personal reasons for the resignation. She becomes the second Minister to resign in a period of one month and four days. Defence Minister Abdrashid Mohamed resigned last month over after a series of Alshabaab attacks on SNA bases across the country.
