Turkey Airlifts 40 Injured In Mogadishu Bomb

40 people critically wounded in the Mogadishu truck bomb were on Monday airlifted to Istanbul for specialised treatment. A second plane from Turkey landed at the Aden Abdille International Airport with an emergency response team led by the country's Health Minister Ahmet Demircan. Demircan held a meeting with Somali Prime Minister Hassan Khaire who was present at the airport to oversee the airlifting of the injured to Turkey. President Tayyip Erdogan ordered an emergency response team off to Somalia on Sunday. The team has been involved in search and rescue operations and medical treatment.
