Amisom Criticised For Non Response After Mogadishu Bombing

Amisom Under Criticism For Slow Response After Mogadishu Truck Bomb. Somalia government has shown its displeasure in what it says is "slow response" to the aftermath of the Mogadishu truck bombing. A meeting between top Amisom commanders and Somalia's Interior Security ,Disaster Management Offcials  and Gurmad Qaran Team was held on Sunday at Ministry of humanitarian affairs . Meanwhile Government accused Amisom for not helping the people this difficult time. Sources close to attendants at the closed door meeting  told Radio Dalsan that the ministers questioned Amisom non response to helping Somalia through it's worst single attack in history. "We are very disappointed you are not helping in this emergance time. Amisom did not even provide a single ambulance" Minister Dualle said. Somalis on social media criticised Amisom of being a "tweeting organisation" with no action. Twenty four hours after the attack that killed more than two hundred people Amisom issued a statement condemning the incident but has not been involved in the much needed search and rescue efforts. Ill equipped local Somali emergency response teams were first to come to the aid of the victims before Turkey sent its team on Sunday.
