NISA & Police Chiefs Sacked Over Killing Of Women Rights Activists

Nisa and Police Chiefs in charge of Hamarweyne have been sacked 48 hrs after Interior ministry issued a deadline to have suspects behind killing of two people linked to women rights activism came to an end. 12 soldiers manning a junction near where the killing occurred and 4 Hamarweyne based police officer were also arrested. Last week unknown gunmen shot dear Mr. Ahmed Hirsi a son of the Chairlady of the Somalia Women's Organisation Mrs. Batulo Sheikh Ahmed Gabale. They also killed Anab Abdullahi Hashi a Secretary to Mrs Gabale. Their killing led to condemnation on the interior security ministry prompting the minister to issue a deadline for arrest.
