Galmudug's Haaf Declares 3 Months State Of Emergency Troubled regional state leader Ahmed Haaf in Sunday declared a 3 month state of emergency. The decision followed a cabinet meeting on Sunday where it was passed that the state of commence on 1 October. Starting Sunday security apparatus are to take on charge of Galmudug. The move follows the collapse of the mediation talks by Federal MPs and senators from Mogadishu. A communiqué released by the mediation team blamed Villa Somalia of interference. This followed a stalemate triggered by reported impeachment of Haaf by a section of Galmudug MPs. Haaf pointed out the tension caused by presence of clan militia as a threat to security of the central somalia region as one of the reason for the decree. The militia have been present in Adado in the last 3 days but reportedly left on Sunday. Haaf impeachment was linked to his stance to support Saudi led coalition defying federal government's neutral stand.
