Somalis on the internet were quick to question what amount the president was to donate to the eye surgery patients. The head of state salary has been shrouded  in secrecy in the present and past administrations. In a country ranked as one of the most corrupt in the world past administrations have been known to withdraw from the coffers of treasury without consent of the Finance Minister.
