Mogadishu stadium to host night football for the first time in history

All roads will lead to Mogadishu Konis stadium on Friday as the FIFA refurbished sports facility will host football final. Mogadishu municipality which has been hosting inter districts football tournament have encouraged local sports management to host the final match between Waberi and Hodan teams on Friday night as test match. According to the organizers all preparations including security have been put in place to ensure everything go smoothly on the much awaited heavy crucial match between Mogadishu football rivals tonight. The football fans of the both teams have shown their delight and excitement to fill up the stadium to cheer their respective teams. Floods lights for night sports and other entertainment were installed at Konis stadium which hosts major sports facility in the country since its renovation in 2012. Hassan Wish, Banadir sports association official has confirmed all are set for the historic football final on Friday night. 17 Mogadishu districts have battled it out in the annual tournament and it is just matter of hours to establish the lucky winner.
