The Minister for Public Works Abdullahi Sheikh Siraaj  Abbass was on wednesday evening shot dead near Villa Somalia. According to a Villa Somalia source he was shot dead by Somali government forces who were guarding the Auditor General  Nur Farah Bidy. Minister Abbas' car was trailing the Auditor General near Villa Somalia and the latter's guards suspected that the vehicle may have been a security threat to the AG. They opened fire on the minister's vehicle. "Minister Abas Siraji who was killed this evening in Mogadishu was the youngest in the cabinet had full and promising future ahead of him"  Information Minister Abdrahman Osman tweeted upon getting the news of the death of his colleague in cabinet NISA and Somalia Police is at this moment interrogating the Auditor General. He was initially  first rushed to the Villa Somalia hospital Prime Minister Khayre is currently visiting the hospital where the Minister is said to have died upon arrival. Abbas a refugge raised  and educated in Dadaab refugee camp in North Eastern Kenya  came to limelight when he thrashed a sitting minister to become an Mp this year. At 31 he is one of the youngest politicians in Somalia.
