Police in Beledweyne  in Hirshabelle blocked a main road and bridge accessing the town to protest delay in salaries. The bridge in Hawa Tako and Kooshin remained inacessible to motorists and pedestrians for hours on . They claim they have not been paid for several months now. Somalia government and regional administration are yet to issue a statement on the matter.
