20 killed in Mogadishu hotel bombing claimed by Al shabaab

At least 20 people were killed  and up to 51 injured when two truck  explosions  targeted Hotel Dayax in  Mogadishu. Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Abdirizaq Omar Mohamed , confirmed that among the killed are 4 Alshabaab militants and 7 government soldiers. The number of civilians death toll was put at at least 9. According to Amin Ambulance which ferried the injured and the dead the number may rise. "Its much higher than the number the government is giving. I saw so many dead bodies arrive" the owner  of the ambulance services told Radio Dalsan. A large section of the hotel in downtown Mogadishu was destroyed. Some 20 Mps mostly from South West and Jubaland regions were residing at the hotel at the time of the explosions. All Mps were evacuated by security personnel. Six Somali journalists, Farah Abdir warsame, M.Wahab, Gacal , Gurey,  Abdikhadar, and Saruurow were injured in in a second explosion as they were covering the attack . The included Farah of Associated Press. Somali militant group Alshabaab claimed responsibility for the attack. Alshabaab has been waging an insurgency targetting despite been lodged from most of the areas it controlled by an allied force of Somali National Army  and Amisom .
