Upper House elections kicks off in Somalia
Upper House elections have kicked off in Somalia ahead of parliamentary and presidential elections in the country. Candidates are in voting centers in the capital of the regional states across the country. In Galmudug regional state of Somalia the election process of the upper house representative kicked off where five were announced winners where as three remaining posts were postponed to Sunday. Zamzam Dahir Mohamud became the first women elected to upper house representative in Somalia in Galmudug state. Other four elected representatives were Abshir Ahmed, Abdi Qeybdiid, Yusuf Gele and Ahmed Duxulow. Puntland, Jubbaland and South West regional states are expected to kick off the elections later next week.
